I consider this a recommend if you have friends you hate and desperately want to be rid of or if you need to make yourself angrier for some strange reason you silly person. The game is fun and all. While playing with friends is the better choice, playing this alone is still pretty fun.just know that if you set the CPU(or AI) to Normal or Sneaky(Hard), there will be some pretty cheap moments. In other words, there will be times(not all the time though) when things seem to be going WAY too well for the AI and you'll notice it(It's my only gripe with the game and may be a turn off to some people, but don't let that discourage you! I recommend taking on a 'weak' CPU (any class) and a 'Normal' CPU (preferable a Magician) for your first go at Story mode(or any other mode) so you can learn how to play and feel like you have a good challenge at the same time.) One can only suggest that these are likely issues with translation and less with the game itself. It's still funny as you get some unique references to other games. You seem some fun ideas at play. And if you have friends who are willing to spend countless hours going around in circles to land on the once space to get into the dungeon for the fifth time because they kept dying from a cheap death at the hands of a monster that destroys weapons with their unblockable attack. There are also plenty of secrets to be had (some I still haven't found yet). But while all that sounds cool, the biggest let down is the combat. While not terrible, it is still boiled down to a luck based game that largely feels like rock-paper-scissors (ironically). Some battles are easy to see who will win simply based on level and stats. Combatants of more equal standing will have it all come down to who was dumb enough to pick rock when he/she should have picked scissors. But 2 is when I get really mad. I'm really mad that when I unlock a class, once I beat the game, I can't pick it as a starting class, making me do all the stuff to unlock that class ALL OVER AGAIN. It's extremely annoying for me to enjoy a class when I can only do it by going through like, about 20 weeks just to get the class I wanted to play again. I feel like they should of made it that if you unlock a class, you can then pick it as your starting class. But once I found out that you have to unlock the class ALL OVER AGAIN once you start a new game, I pretty much just stopped liking the game.
