Click to expand.I did what you said by changing the regions using ShowMiiWads instead of FreeTheWads, and installing the Wads with Wii Mod Lite instead of Yet Another Wad Manager Mod. Unfortunately when I load the channel I get the same result, black screen, no response, have to hold the power button on the Wii. I only tried installing 2 Wads with Wii Mod Lite though, because after when I tried to go back to the main menu of Wii Mod everything would freeze, which I assume is not meant to happen, So I tried installing 3 other Wads with YAWMM again but as I said, no luck. I might also add - when I start up YAWMM it says HW_AHBPROT is disabled and asks if I want to load another IOS instead. I've been selecting 'no' but should I be choosing IOS 249 instead?

Wii Complete Virtual Console Collection
Rename the file to boot.dol and have it in a folder called WAD manager. The folder name is what you will see when you load it thru Homebrew Channel. Your WAD files will go in the WAD folder. You don't have to rename those. You will load WAD manager thru homebrew channel and then pick the WAD u want to install from there.

So here's what I did: I downloaded the latest DOP-IOS (v8) from here - Then I put the folder called 'hbc_dopios_v8' into the 'apps' folder on my SD card, inserted that into my Wii and entered the HBC. I started up the app, and reinstalled IOS53 and IOS55 with no sig hash check patches applied. Then, I installed IOS70 through the network, with the patch applied. After that, voila! All my WADs work through the SD card now, even the NTSC ones! Either way, I hope that this at least helps oldman111.
(Exceptions include Monster World IV and Sin & Punishment.) Other games that can be priced higher than normal are games based on externally-licensed properties, one example being the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles games. Virtual Console games can be retired from the shop, though purchased games can be redownloaded.

So recently I got back into modding my Wii, and I decided I wanted to install some more Virtual Console wads. Previously the only VC wads I had installed were SMB2, SMB2 The Lost Levels, SMB3, and Mario Kart 64, which I'm pretty sure were all PAL when I downloaded them. However now I can hardly seem to find any PAL VC wads, but I did find a heap of NTSC wads which I downloaded. I picked out a few and converted them to PAL using Free The Wads GUI, and installed them on my Wii using YAWMM. Some of them, namely Super Mario 64, Super Smash Bros, and Pokemon Snap appear to be working, as the 'You will need the Classic Controller' screen comes up (I haven't actually got a classic controller yet to know for sure, but I have ordered one). Some others like SMB, SMW, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Excitebike aren't working at all though. When I start the channel the screen goes black, the Wiimote won't sync and I have to hold down the power button on the Wii to turn it off.

For channel games (WADs, WiiWare, Virtual Console, VC, whatever else they are called) you will need to softmod. Basically you need to pick one of the multiple ways to get the Homebrew Channel installed.
They are fine, but be careful. There are some fake ones, but I don't think any of them do anything truly malicious.

Los demas no los pude jugar porq cuando le doy cargar room desde DVD se queda leyendo el disco. Lo probe con todos los emuladores. Te comento mi consola es NTCS 3.2U tiene chip (modelo no lo se), tiene instalado el HBC peroooo!! Cuando la compre me decia q no me meta a ese canal pq no me iba a leer mas discos. Me meti un dia!

Once its done it becomes a channel on your wii menu. And like the other guy said. You go into menu options> data management and it tells you how much system memory (blocks) you have left. If you goto channels from the options you can pick the game you want to move to the SD card in a fashion much like working with saved files off an PS2 memory card. Hope that helps. Been learning all this myself lately and your right- information is out dated usually. First off you need to be on 4.0 or 4.1 firmware.

Ok new the Wii scene & notice Im able to download loads of VC games via the net,Although I have'nt grabbed any yet just trying to get more knowledge. My wii is chipped with the wiikey 2 & have done some searching on here for any info But I cannot find to much only some threads whih are quite old,Im assuming I dont just download the files transfer them to the SD card & then the wii reads them,I found something about a wad installer would you use this to transfer the dowloaded VC game to the SD card will then the Wii then run the VC games? First off you need to be on 4.0 or 4.1 firmware. Then you will need to softmod the system so the instillation of WAD files can be done ( is a softmod guide). You will use WAD manager to install the VC/WiiWare game wad files. Then you will need to go to Wii settings, data management, channels and MOVE (do not copy) the VC/ WiiWare games to the SD Card. Keep in mind the Wii doesn't have much internal memory so you will probably only be able to install 3 to 4 games at a time (depending on the size of the VC/WiiWare game) then you will need to MOVE them to the SD card before installing more (Just keep an eye on the blocks you have left).
