I don't even see the HDMI sound as a device in speakers- I'm currently using my Intel 4600 onboard graphics at the moment, since my other video card got RTM'd.

I suspect there is a problem with the audio driver but when i bought it, inside the motherboard box i found a driver cd and i installed it, so im scared to choose what driver to install/update by myself. Also i did some investigations on internet and there might be some codec that i do not have, but which one? Here are my computer specs. Overall Pc: Motherboard.
4 Days ago i bought this new computer on ebay. Everything is fine and working but my audio and my mic quality are so bad. The same mic and the same speakers on my laptop work just fine, but when i put them to my new computer and try to talk with someone on skype, they can barely hear even at 10 cm distance from it. Also my speakers if i try to listen to something on youtube, the voices are like underwater but the music is almost good as on the other computer.

I have a few theories: 1) I accidentally damaged it when I knocked my motherboard loose earlier- I had been holding on to the area behind the sound ports, to hold the motherboard steady while I plugged things in and I likely wasn't grounded. (I should be glad i didn't fry something more important.) 2)Since I ended up with a 32 bit OS instead of the 64 bit I had before due to my dad not realizing that the copy of windows 7 he used was not the same as the one I used when building the rig.

So the HDD in my desktop crashed 2 weeks ago, and I got it back this past Sunday. The drivers all appear operational, and the board recognizes when I plug things in- however, no sound goes through. And yes I've re-installed the drivers. I've tested all my headphones and speakers, all are working fine. The computer can output sound via Livestream, as well.
