Thanks a lot and sorry for bothering you with idiot questions! Your map is not patched. Put FastActivate & a copy of your ttgo.bif file in the new map folder & run FA Option 2. Yes, if you haven't already done so. The ttsystem file in patches the navcore.

You would be better off using Europe 4754 instead. If you still wish to use 4799 put & a copy of your device's ttgo.bif file in the 4799 folder.
You can use this to get a running system again if you mess-up things. You can use the program HOME for this, but most hardcore users prefer WinRAR: When you connect your TT to a PC, it shows itself as an external hard drive. Backup the entire content of this drive! (Disconnect using the OS mechanism for safe removal.) Check the navcore version of your TT. On a running TT, tap the speed area, and than tap the small area above where the speed was.

Do you have any ideas of how to add maps to tomtom one v1, have tried this tutorial, but to no avail. Current app version is 7.9ish not yet 8, but the maps i have downloaded are all v8, eastern europe, central europe, western europe and greece. As you can see i plan on driving to greece so hopefully will be able to sort this out soon.
It is on the second line, the first number after App (e.g. Navcore v9 has the same information in the menu-system, last page. This page provides all essential information when asking for help. Another way is to have the TT connected to your computer, and view the file ttgo.bif in the root of your TT. The version is after ApplicationVersionVersionNumber= HOME can also report the system version. You can check the website for the latest version, status and fixes: You can also check the overview in here If you want to know which TT-model you have: Update your system using HOME. Your updated navcore runs the newest maps for all areas, but may not provide the latest features. The map version must match the navcore version. Find out which map versions fit your navcore in compatibility charts: Some maps have _1GB or _2GB in the name. These maps have less additional information (POI's, rivers, etc) included to make them fit in 1GB or 2GB flash. The actual roads are the same.

Tried to search it but I didnt find. Make a backup of your current setup by copy & pasting it to your desktop. If you have room on your unit, just run the exe.

Sorry if I get back to this thread. I have a XXL IQ Routes and just downloaded 'Central_Europe_910_4892 with Automatic Installer & Patcher'. My Navcore is 9.510 and this is going to be my first map change since I bought the tomtom. My (stupid!!) question is.
Find the one you need, and unpack to the root of your TT: To be able to use emulation on HOME ('operate my TomTom'), place the included.dll according to the instructions of the patch-tool (above). Your original map will work with a patched navcore. For the experienced patchers: You can decide on using a SE navcore. See this post for more details 3 - New Map You probably want a new map. Newer maps are better.
You have a map, within the map-directory a meta-file, e.g. You need to make a dct-file, e.g. Western_and_Central_Europe-19.meta.dct to go with it. For this you need four things: 1 a keygen program, e.g. EasyUseTools available here (made by TTuser): Also have a look at the new keygen tools, referenced below.
If you don't have room, remove the old map folder, before you run the exe. After you run the exe, a.meta.dct file in the map folder confirms that the map is correctly patched.
Joq wrote:Hello, i've tried to install a map with SE_Navcore.8.410.1218.Basicpack and SE_ttsystem.8.410.1218 on my One XL, it started up fine but crashes whenever i try to push on the screen to get the menu up. I tried the original 8.010 navcore which i then patched with the EasyUseTools, with the 8.010 navcore it just stays at the tomtom first splash-screen and doesn't boot up. Any ideas on which navcore would be the best for my One XL, or if i've just missed something on my end? 8.010 is the officiall for your device so this will work tidy if installed ok,But i reccomend 9.026 Basicpack with SE ttsystem file (See links below) But for a tutorial about some reebooting problems and also please try and use the TomTom Clear Flash tool because maybe your devices flash memory is full and needs emptying (Download it in my sig) [Please or to download file] [Please or to download file]. Hi, I've been looking over these forums and i dont have a clue what i am looking at and how to get the right information for my tomtom one device. I have however managed to find out some information. This is what i found in my ttgo file.
Have completely formatted device to remove old files - wonder if my map is fake? Seem to be going around in circles, any advice? Maybe a mod could move these comments to a separate thread?:smile. Hello all Im affraid Im having the same problem as winactive:shocked: I thought Id back up my sd card from the tomtom to my desktop as a precaution in case it didn't work, so first of all I downloaded new maps and navcore and followed the tut to the letter (I think) but it didn't work so I thought oh well at least I have the backup, so I coppied the backup back to my sd card and inserted it into my tomtom one v4 and now Im getting no maps and if I use the tomtom home it says that I need to activate the maps but if I try that I get and xml error:sad: so Im stumped! Hope some one can help:smile. Hi FoxLady, thanks for your tutorial:righton: I applied it to my (old and obsoleted by Tomtom) GO510 to install Europe-181 on a new SD 2GB card.
The bold type instructions above are for a SD card only. You should not have deleted the navcore. I'll have the instructions edited, to prevent this from happening again. Offline Joined: Thu May 20, 2010 4:43 pm Posts: 12980 Has thanked: times Been thanked: times.

If the Meta.txt it is out-of-date (due to new maps): TTuser frequently updates the EasyUseTools, and Albert's tool has special functionality in his tool to get the latest meta-data (thank you Guys). A last resort: Add new meta-data yourself. 3 the identifier of your TT (device id), to be found on the first line of the page of your TT you looked up earlier (nav version). Delete the space in the middle and type it in CAPITALS. (It is also in ttgo.bif, after DeviceUniqueID=) 4 the map-directory with the meta-file You can simply run the keygen program (from EasyUseTools) from the command line but there is an easy tool that does the hard work for you. See above for the URL. EasyUseTools will create v6.xx map codes, v7.xx and v8.xx map dct-files, and will patch navcore's.
Well, finally got down to it as i never done one, so i have provided a noob way and hopes it helps others. A tutorial how to put navcore, maps and patch them with easytools OK let's start and get you doing you maps and patching for 1st time. First of all you will 3 things, NAVCORE (Tomtom Operating System) in my case my navore i use for my ONE devices is v8.204 as seen on my desktop, MAPS (We know what these are) & Easytools (Your Patching tool in order to make the maps work) So you have downloaded the above mentioned, Place all the winrar files you downloaded on your desktop so everything nice and neat and no confusion later on. Now place your sd card in pc or if no sd slot on tomtom connect tomtom via usb to pc, now a box will pop up being that of a drive letter i.e. J:, now double click on the map rar file you downloaded on your desktop and it should look like this on your desktop, keep 2 windows open side by side, now simply drag the map folder over to the sd card or tomtom. Once completed close the rar window, now double click on the Navcore rar file for example mine v8.204 on my desktop, you will get a window like this, simply select all the files inside and drag over the the sd card or tomtom Once done, again close off that rar window, now as you see in my right window the files will now look like this, one Map folder and navcore files surrounding it If you look in the files, there is no TTGO.bif file, this will be created once we restart the tomtom, so turn tomtom off, insert card to tomtom or disconnect usb cable from pc and then power up the tomtom.
Now go back into the drive letter which is your tomtom/tomtom files and you will notice the ttgo.bif file here, right click and open in notepad, at top you will see device id with 10 digit number, right click on this number and copy, then close off ttgo notepad window. Ok now go to the Easytools rar file and extract the folder to the desktop, Now double click that folder and you will see this Now you can see a file called Device ID in the easytools folder Double click to open it and right click and paste that 10 digit number you copied from the TTGO file, click close on the box and it will ask for changes, click SAVE Now go into the tomtom a double click on the MAP folder, at the bottom you will see 2 files which are needed, ending in.meta &.pna.
In fact, it is Europe 855_2885 from which I discarded non Frecnh languages to decrease the size under 2GB. I copied in the 'navcore_7.903.9183.go510-go710' (ultimate version for my GPS). BTW, it becomes a '710'?!?
Ios 8.3 Jailbreak
So now you have successfully installed both Navcore and Maps for the tomtom, now we need to patch them in order for them to work. Right click and select both of these and CUT, now in the easytools folder you will see a folder called 'insert meta from map here', double click and you will see this, now paste those 2 files (.Meat &.Pna) into this insert meta from map here folder you just cut from map folder.
